A New Day

Yesterday was not a good day. Even after I got home from work I felt grumpy and agitated. I did not want to do anything. So, hubby called and ordered a big, cheesey, pizza….and chips. I ate two pieces + chips. Oh the shame…. Then hubby went to go help my dad with some stuff and I did something that always makes me feel better….I baked. I didn’t use a sugar free, fat free recipe either. I made something with OIL and 3 CUPS of sugar (but I did use 1/2 whole wheat flour 1/2 all-purpose!). By the time it came out of the oven, I was tired, so I went to bed.

I still haven’t eaten any of what I made! The baking is my stress relief, not the eating!

So, today is a new day. Hubby took the leftover pizza to work so I will not be tempted!


Breakfast: Arnold Thin with 1 egg, reduced fat cheese slice, and turkey bacon


Snack: Grapes




Lunch: Salad with romaine lettuce, strawberries, blueberries, fat free feta cheese, and  a black bean Morning Star burger with reduced fat catalina dressing




Snack: A few more (unpictured) pistachios and a couple of Tootsie Rolls out of the office candy jug (that’s right…jug, as in one of the animal cracker jugs from Sam’s Club. Talk about temptation!)


Dinner tonight will be chicken of some sort. Either chicken nuggets or BBQ grilled chicken with roasted veggies and watermelon.

I feel like I can get back on track, I’m not there yet, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
